Hemric Continues Great Season With Win At Gresham

Jefferson, GA (September 18, 2012) - "He wins every week, every week I see that he has won again and he did it here too." Stated Kyle Benjamin about Daniel Hemric. Benjamin got a close up look at Hemric's latest win as he finished second to him in the JEGS 100 at Gresham Motorsports Park where Hemric continued his incredible summer of winning as he took home is first ARCA/CRA Super Series win. Benjamin finished second, Stephen Nasse third, John Hunter Nemechek fourth and Russell Fleeman fifth.

"I was excited to get the chance to drive down here this weekend." Hemric stated. "This car was ready to go, and with Scott Neal coming down to crew chief for me it was great."

While participating in limited ARCA/CRA Super Series races this year Hemric has been racing full time in the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour Presented by Chevy Power. He has won seven races so far this year in that series, and now has a Super Series win as well.

As the green flag flew on the JEGS 100 Nasse and Bubba Pollard were on the front row. Pollard, on the outside, powered ahead of Nasse for the early lead. But Nasse would not give up as the pair raced for the lead for the first 25 laps some side by side, but never was Nasse far until he was able to get by Pollard holding the lead as the cars came to the line for lap 26.

Nasse then set a torrid pace as the cars behind him fought for the chance to challenge him for the lead. In a race with only one caution flag, the drivers kept the racing very clean, even as they refused to give even an inch to each other. Hemric came out second and set his sights on Nasse.

After stalking Nasse for several laps, Hemric powered past Nasse with a move that earned him the AP Bodies Cool Move of the Race Award. From there the 14 year old Benjamin, who had earned the Wear Crete Fast Qualifier Award, followed Hemric, but could not catch him and pass as the wove through the cars they were lapping as the laps wound down.

David Quackenbush took home the DMR Hardcharger Award and Racing Electornics Most Improved Positions Award. He and Nemechek earned the Hoosier Racing Tire Performance Awards.

Only two cars did not finish the race with TJ Reaid receiving the Hinchman Racing Uniform Hard Luck Award as his car became to tight to continue safely on the 82nd lap. Kenzie Ruston was knocked out on the 94th lap when a piece of debris was kicked up into her radiator ending a sure Top 10 run.

Nasse earned the VDL Fuel Systems Hot Lap of the Race Award turning the fastest lap under green flag conditions, and the RaceTrailerSales.com Halfway Leader Award.
